Thank you very much to everyone who came by our table at the Bristol Comic & Zine Fair. sarahfogg and I launched this year’s new Music Zine - which includes articles, illustrations and comics featuring Baby Metal, Damon Albarn, Gorillaz, Pixies, Bat For Lashes, Franz Ferdinand, Courtney Barnett, Honeyblood, Glass Animals, Dizraeli, Animal Collective, Roadidendren, Haim, We Are Scientists, Cecile Corbel, Adventure Time and Regular Show.
The next event on our comics tour will be The Lakes International Comic Arts Festival (LICAF). We have a half table in the Comics Clock Tower. Please come and say hi. We’ll be taking some Free Mini Comics to hand out - the secret password is ‘Do you have a business card?’. (full events list can be found on the blog sidebar)
If you’re interested if buying some some comics and can’t make it to any of the events they are available to order online through Sarah’s Etsy Shop or my Etsy Shop (which has finally been converted into GBP).
I’m sorry about all the delays for Giant Rhinos In Space Chapter 3. I was planning to start uploading about this time of year but I ended up with a lot more commissions over the summer than I was expecting. So I’m still not going to set a return date until I’ve got a bit of a buffer sorted.
Thanks for your patience
Thank you to everyone at InZine Fest in Coventry yesterday! I had a really great time despite a recovering headcold. It was good to meet local zine and comics creators and some arty students who passed through.
The next event I’m attending with Sarah Fogg will be the Bristol Comic & Zine Fair next saturday! We’re sharing a half table so stock will be slightly limited. We’re on time so far to launch the next issue of our music zine This Is Not A Serious Music Publication and the autumn issue of What’s The Time Mrs. Woolf?
I went to Greenbelt Festival last weekend and did some gig sketches while I was there. Sketches in order of appearance: The Hackney Colliery Band, Stonoway, Levi Hummon, Dizraeli and the Small gods and Ellie Rose. The Rising sketch features Martyn Joseph, Rory Butler, Heather Hind and Chris T-T.
Giant Rhinos In Space is currently on a chapter break so I can work on other exciting projects such as music zines and mini comics. But it turned out that August was a exciting and busy time for commissions. This has pushed back the starting point for chapter 3. I’m not going to make any promises to when it will return because I don’t want to rush and sacrifice quality. Sorry for the delay.
Dizraeli and the Small Gods with The Beatbox Collective - Never Mind
I thought I’d share some of my favourite music from the festival.
Thank you to everyone who came by our table at Comica Comiket! I just wish the library was open a bit longer - I was having too much fun
The next event will be the Bristol Comic & Zine Fair on Saturday 4th October 2014. I will be sharing half a table with Sarah Fogg again so we will be bringing slightly limited stock. But we really love making new things so there will probably be something brand new on the table.
We can also confirm that our table at Thought Bubble will be in New Dock Hall! for further information on events see the blog sidebar.
Hopefully Giant Rhinos In Space will be back online in the autumn. I’ll tell you more about that some time in the week.
